ROVSUN 18 Bottle Freestanding Compressor
Best for: the most wine, correctly cooled, for the least money
This is the unit that makes most of the others hard to justify. Real compressor cooling, so the room can do what it likes; digital temperature control rather than a numbered dial, so you can actually ask for a number; double-layer glass and chrome shelves. Eighteen advertised slots is more than any other unit here, and it is the cheapest storage on the page at roughly $8.90 a slot. Plan on about thirteen mixed-shape bottles in practice.
The honest downsides: the shelves are chrome wire, so labels can mark if bottles sit for years; the single zone means one temperature for reds and whites, which is fine at 55°F and a compromise if you want whites served cold from the cabinet; and there is a compressor hum you will hear in a quiet room. It is also the largest cabinet here, so measure before you commit to a countertop.
